Nelson PC was started by Stevland Ambrose in 2001 with the simple idea of offering on-site support for residential computer users in the Nelson area. “At that time, Nelson PC seemed like such a great name,” says Ambrose. “And now we’ve kind of outgrown it because there’s so many things that we’re helping people with.”

Kootenay Romanian Relief Organization

The Kootenay Romanian Relief Organization is a registered Canadian Charity, assisting orphans, the elderly and the poor in Romania.

14 children were adopted by families in the West Kootenays, and having seen the living conditions first-hand, the families were motivated to assist with relief efforts.

To date they have rebuilt the infrastructure of an orphanage; built 3 houses and assisted with work on a children’s camp; completed a children’s playground; shipped and distributed 9 containers of clothing, bedding and toys which has assisted over 10,000 people, and much more.
